1 The Spirit of God says, I have chosen this man, Donald Trump, for such a time as this. For as Benjamin Netanyahu is to lsrael, so shall this man be to the United States of America! For I will use this man to bring honor, respect, and restoration to America. America will be respected once again as the most powerful and prosperous nation on earth (other than lsrael). 2 The dollar will be the strongest it has ever been in the history of the United States, and will once again be the currency by which all others are judged. 3 The Spirit of God says, The enemy will quake and shake and fear this man I have anointed. They will even quake and shake when he announces he is running for President. It will be like the shot heard across the world. 4 The enemy will say, What shall we do now? This man knows all our tricks and schemes. We have been robbing America for decades. What shall we do to stop this? 5 The Spirit says, Ha! No one shall stop this that l have started! For the enemy has stolen from America for decades and it stops now! For I will use this man to reap the harvest that the United States has sown for and plunder from the enemy what he has stolen, and return it seven-fold back to the United States. 6 The enemy will say, lsrael, lsrael, what about lsrael? For lsrael will be protected by America once again. The Spirit says, Yes! America will once again stand hand and hand with lsrael, and the two shall be as one. For the ties between lsrael and America will be stronger than ever, and lsrael will flourish like never before. 7 The Spirit of God says, I will protect America and lsrael, for this next president will be a man of his word. When he speaks the world will listen and know that there is something greater in him than all the others before him. This man's word is his bond, and the world and America will know this, and the enemy will fear this, for this man will be fearless. 8 The Spirit says, When the financial harvest begins, so shall it parallel in the spiritual for America. 9 The Spirit of God says, in this next election they will spend billions to keep this President in. It will be like flushing their money down the toilet. Let them waist their money, for it comes from and it is being used by evil forces at work. But they will not succeed. For this next election will be a clean sweep for the man I have chosen. 10 They (the enemy) will say things about this man, but it will not affect him, and they shall say, It rolls off of him like the duck. For as the feathers of a duck protect it, so shall My feathers protect this next President. 11 Even mainstream news media will be captivated by this man and the abilities that I have gifted him with, and they will even begin to agree with him, says the Spirit of God.
Analysis
ISSUE 1 This prophecy, which was Mark's first, was a prediction that Donald Trump would win the 2012 presidential election, which he did not. The prophecy's language is very clear that it's referring to the 2012 election:
". . . for this next President will be a man of his word."
"The Spirit of God says, in this next election they will spend billions to keep this President in. It will be like flushing their money down the toilet."
"But they will not succeed. For this next election will be a clean sweep for the man I have chosen."
God does not give false prophecies. God does not give false prophecies. God is omniscient, omnipotent, and omnipresent. He cannot make a mistake. Mark Taylor, therefore, cannot be a prophet of God.
ISSUE 2 There are two inconsistent reasons Mark and Mary give as to why Trump was elected in 2016 and not 2012:
On p. 129 of his book, Mark says God told him in 2015 that "All of this was supposed to happen in 2012, but My people were not ready. They needed four more years of the current administration in order to get a righteous anger, rise up, and say, 'enough is enough!' For this reason, I held it off."
On p. 62, Mary says that God never intended Trump to be elected in 2012 in the first place because he didn't announce he was running yet. You can hear them talk about it in this video around the 13:30 mark. She references the line "They will even quake and shake when he announces he is running for President." as proof the prophecy doesn't happen until he announces.
There are several issues here besides God reneging on His own prophecy. The prophecy's wording doesn't imply the announcement sets the time of the prophecy coming true. The three times that the prophecy refers to the "next election" and "next President" define the time very clearly. Second of all, Mark says that God told him that He fully intended to have the prophecy to refer to 2012 in the first place, but changed His mind after. Mary did not know of this revelation herself when she saw the prophecy, meaning that she falsely interpreted it as not being intended for 2012.
The prophecy cannot be both intended for 2012 and not intended for 2012.
ISSUE 3 On p. 3-5 and 42-43 Mark describes the experience of receiving this prophecy while sitting and watching Donald Trump on TV. His "body and mind were exhausted", his "body was deteriorating", and his "grasp on reality was blurring into a canvas of dark colors that bled into unconstructive patterns of weary desperation." He was in the midst of his most depressive years and had been previously prescribed Zoloft (see my breakdown of the side effects under "Mark's Credibility" here).
He then felt a sudden urge to take down this prophecy, saying that God told him he was "hearing the voice of a president." Mark describes this moment in the following ways:
He suddenly "started to discern an odd sensation of certainty".
God's voice came to him "like a ringing in my spiritual ears".
He stood up and his "eyes saw the screen and my ears were beginning to tune in a little more to what Trump was saying".
He then went and wrote the prophecy in full. Mark experienced feelings that align with the side effects of Zoloft: an unusual change in his behavior, a burst of energy and clarity when he had previously been mentally drifting away, and the urge to not sit.
When a person describes the sensations they had during a spiritual encounter, and those sensations are known side effects of the drug they've been on, it should be investigated. It's similar to how many claims of ghost encounters turn out to be caused by carbon monoxide poisoning such as in this woman's experience.
ISSUE 4 Mark says on p. 4 that he had seen Donald Trump in the media hundreds of times before, but had no inkling of his plans to run for President. This is difficult to believe because Trump has been very vocal, for decades, that running for office was something he desired and planned to do.
It is highly likely that Trump brought up issues related to the presidential office in the interview Mark was watching at the time he thought of this prophecy. Here's a video from just the day before on a local New Hampshire station where the possibility of him announcing he's running is a major topic in his interview. Trump was teasing the idea of being a candidate very strongly in 2011.
This 2015 article lists many of the times Trump talked about running for office: "In 2000, Trump declared he might run for president as an independent. He did it again for the 2004, 2008 and 2012 races . . . I was in the room when Trump gave a speech at the Conservative Political Action Committee in Maryland in 2011. He lit up the room. People were excited. He landed some zingers. There was a (brief) time when Trump actually led the GOP field for the 2012 presidential campaign."
This 2017 article chronicles 30 years of Trump's interest in the position of President.
This article from 2011 (shortly before this prophecy) discusses some of Trump's possible campaign points. At this point, articles about a Trump presidency are nothing new.
It would have come as no surprise to anyone in 2011 if Trump claimed he were running. He even made an official announcement that he would not be running, since he had publicly talked about the possibility.
ISSUE 5 "The dollar will be the strongest it has ever been in the history of the United States . . ." Currently the value of the dollar is nowhere near what it was even in the 80s, and even lower than what it was in the early 2010s. Trump's term is over halfway over already.
This chart shows the trend of the value of the dollar over time. Sort by "Historical" and select "Max" to see the full history we have up until present day.
Apparently God said the dollar will be the strongest it's ever been. That has not come to pass, and it is highly unlikely to reach the strongest value it's ever been even if Trump has a second term. ISSUE 6 ". . . this next President will be a man of his word . . ." Here's a thorough, up-to-date breakdown of almost every claim Trump has made that has been false, including links to explanations of why it wasn't true. It includes things like:
Claims the Pulse shooting wouldn't have happened to the extent it did if at least one person in the room had been armed. An armed, off-duty police officer was actually there and had exchanged gunfire with the killer.
Promised he would build a big wall all along the southern border and make Mexico pay for it. Mark Taylor assures in this video that God has His hand on it. The wall is only now just starting to be built, and it's currently set to cover only a few mile stretches.Mexico is not paying for it.
Research these claims and their sources on your own. You will find that there is a significant number of clearly false remarks, making Trump far from a man of his word.
ISSUE 7 Even if the prophecy was re-done to apply to the year Trump was actually elected, Obama wouldn't have been running against him since he had already served his two terms ("they will spend billions to keep this President in.") On p. 168, Mark clarifies that the prophecy would still be true because Hillary is, spiritually, pretty much Obama. Unfortunately, the prophecy was very clear about which President they'd spend billions to keep in: the current one, which has never been Hillary.
